I found that really helped my hens.

The other thing that I've read, is that the nighttime perching place needs to be the highest place in the coop. I made the mistake of having the nest box in my henhouse be a bit higher and my hens all sleep in there too. The advantage is that they stay really warm all winter. The disadvantage is that the nest box gets poopy really quickly.

I am designing an improved henhouse that will have the nest box on a lower level and the roost up higher.Alisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01994300004330705947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8688737200861236433.post-68682075908162338432010-11-09T22:40:40.932-08:002010-11-09T22:40:40.932-08:003 eggs today -- one from each.3 eggs today -- one from each.Jake Vortexhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04996432167988254419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8688737200861236433.post-91911320741818912222010-11-08T16:06:00.395-08:002010-11-08T16:06:00.395-08:00Your girls are so cute!Your girls are so cute!Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06164900784893131570noreply@blogger.com
