It's REALLY helpful, because this is something that I've wondered about. I don't do scrapbooking, but I thought a cutter thing would be good for stencils or lettering for signs, etc. I had no idea that the supplies were so pricy. You cut out your pattern, then you iron it to your fabric for nice, crisp edges. It's a trick that's often used to make custom t-shirt designs, and I've used it once or twice.
