Craftsman Online Shopping

Craftsman appropriate and/or reproduction suppliers I've found

American Restoration Tile - Specialize in reproducing the tiles of the past to facilitate restoration of historically significant buildings and residences.

Archive Edition - This is a small company that carries some beautiful reproduction Arts & Crafts fabrics. I've been tempted many times in the past to order from them, but I never have.

Art of Rain - Company in Washington specializing in custom copper metal work, such as copper range hoods and artistic downspouts. They made our copper hood.

Arts & Crafts Rugs at Persian Carpet - Gorgeous hand-tied wool rugs. I especially like their clearance deals. I have spoken to them a number of times about buying a rug, and they've always been very helpful, even offering me a sale price when there was not a sale going on.

Arts & Crafts Stencils at American Home - Some affordable craftsman-style stencil options. I've ordered several and they're nice quality mylar.

Arts & Crafts Textiles - Custom Arts & Crafts curtains, shades, bedding, cushions or other textiles.

Aurora Mills Architectural Salvage - Warehouse filled with unique, historic, and vintage architectural materials. You can call and order and they'll ship items to you. Most items aren't on the website, though.

Bathroom Machineries - A source for vintage plumbing, lighting & hardware. We bought some nice brass hardware from them and were very satisfied with the quality.

Bradbury & Bradbury Wallpapers - A source for amazing reproduction wallpapers and borders, though they're very expensive.

Brass Curtain Hardware - A source for hard-to-find simple brass curtain hardware. Simple brass curtain hardware is the most typical method of hanging curtains in a turn-of-the-century home.

Bungalow Bob's Pet Designs - Offers furniture and accessories that coordinate with Mission or Prairie Style decor. Great dog bed I hope we'll buy someday.

Classic Accents - Authentic reproduction push button light switches (best price I found).

Cooper's Cottage Lace - Sells fine and distinctive lace panels, providing beautiful privacy and allow sunlight to gently filter into your home. Gorgeous, but spendy. We bought three panels and they were excellent quality.

Craftsman Home Connection - Sells craftsman decor and furnishings.

Crown City Hardware - According to their website, the best restoration and decorative hardware source in the country. We bought our reproduction solid brass door hardware and were very satisfied with its quality and price. (It was less expensive than re-plating the old hardware.)

DIY Upholstery Supply - I have not ordered from this company, but they were recommended to me as a source for hard-to-find upholstery supplies.

Dragon Chimney Pots - Custom, reproduction and dragon chimney pots. Not particularly Craftsman, but I love them and want one.

Duquella Tile - Specializes in Arts & Crafts, Bungalow, Craftsman, Art Nouveau and Art Deco tile. Also offer period-inspired original designs & historical reproductions.

Fabric Guru - An online fabric source that has a lot of selection. Their fabrics are not specifically labeled as Arts & Crafts, but I have purchased some large remnants in period designs from this site at good prices. If you get on their mailing list, they will send you coupon codes.

Fabrics & Papers - An online source for William Morris fabrics at list price. They're in UK but they will ship to the United States.

Fabrics-Store.com - Reasonably good prices on good quality linen fabric. They often have sales if you sign up on their email list. I've purchased linen many times and it was always excellent quality.

Fireclay Recycled Tile - Sells subway tile containing over 60% recycled materials; creates a beautiful, sustainable ceramic tile on the market.

Gracewood Design - This company makes custom floor cloths using old-time construction techniques. I've not ordered from them, but the cloths look beautiful.

Guildcraft Carpets - They make expensive, but amazing hand-knotted Arts & Crafts rug. I believe rugs are made on demand; they don't keep them in stock. From their webpage: "Historically Authentic Colors • Faithfully Rendered Designs • GoodWeave® Certified"

Handwerk Shade Shop - Specialized in custom cotton spring roller shades. Historically, spring roller shades are the most appropriate and affordable window treatments for your home.

Helen Foster Stencils - Specializes in offering stencils in the early 20th-century styles known as Mission, Craftsman, and Arts & Crafts. I bought many of them before it was taken over by Fair Oaks Workshops and the stencils were of very good quality.

House of Antique Hardware - Carries nice quality reproduction hardware, lights, etc. We've purchased glass hex knobs, lots of hardware and light shades from them and we were satisfied with the purchases. If you get on their email list, they regularly send discount coupon codes.

J.R. Burrows & Co. - Offers designs in the post-1900 American Arts & Crafts style and Art Deco designs from the 1920s. We bought reproduction lace curtains from them and they were good quality.

Kennedy Hardware - Provides restoration hardware for antique furniture. I wish I found this site sooner. OMG, they have so much amazing stuff and their prices are great.

Mission Furniture at Barn Furniture - The name makes no sense to me, but they carry amish-made mission style furniture for very good prices.

Mission Style Furniture Maker - an eBay/etsy seller who specializes in making mission-style furniture. We bought our living room furniture from him and, even with shipping, it was very affordable for the quality of the materials.

MissionFurnishings.com - Sells reproduction decor. They offer nice looking wood doorbells.

Nature's Loom Rugs - Sells rugs inspired by historic designs; ideas and designs from Morris, Voysey, and Morton. Carries a gorgeous Arts & Crafts collection.

Online Fabric Store - I was impressed by the number of upholstery supplies this site carried. They also sell fabric, but I have not purchased any. They have good prices on upholstery foam and batting and they ship for free if you spend over $50.

Palazzo Fabrics - Sells durable upholstery fabric at good prices. They aren't specifically period fabrics, but they had a huge selection when I was looking for fabric. I was able to find something that was not a reproduction, but was similar to period patterns and worked for our reupholstering project.

Present Time Clocks - This guy makes some stunning mission / arts & crafts style clocks. I've not purchased one, but I've been tempted.

Rejuvenation - Unmatched selection of reproduction lighting and hardware; expect high prices as well. It's rare, but they do occasionally have sales (once or twice a year).

Renovator's Supply - Reproduction antique hardware and restoration hardware, plumbing and lighting.

RugsUSA - Often has a variety of less expensive Arts & Crafts rugs. They are made with cheaper manufacturing techniques so are not as durable as hand-knotted, but they have some inexpensive options for smaller budgets.

Schoolhouse Electric & Supply Co. - Offer reproductions of fixtures and shades from the turn of the century through the late 1940s. Their shades are hand-blown, one by one, in authentic antique moulds using the same methods that have been in effect for over 150 years. Their solid brass fixtures are designed and handcrafted to reflect the historical accuracy of the original styles and can be mixed and matched with the shades.

Sherwin Williams Historic Palettes - Historically accurate paint color palettes for wall, trim and accent colors to achieve a coordinated "period" look for interiors. We used this palette in our house restoration and have been very happy with the colors.

Signature Hardware - I like this company for their oversize mission style register covers. If you need the small ones, you can get them elsewhere for less money. This is the only place I've found the large ones. Their customer service is slow if you need to ask a question. They hardly ever have sales.

Smashing Stained Glass - Offer Tiffany and mission style lights and comparatively good prices.

Stortz Paint Scrapers - Excellent wood-handled paint scrapers, useful for scraping paint off woodwork. I believe this is the brand we used, but it didn't have the same logo.

Subway Ceramics - Produces a complete collection of historically authentic subway tile, trim components, classic moldings, floor mosaics and ceramic accessories to maintain the pre‐war home in its original character. We used this company's subway tile and it was of great quality.

Subway Mosaics - A new site launched by Subway Ceramics. It's nice to see a new company carrying mosaic tiles as they're hard to find.

Tiger Rug - They sell some beautiful Arts & Crafts hand-knotted rugs.

Tile Restoration Center - Reproductions of American Arts and Crafts Tiles, Ernest Batchelder and Claycraft Designs. Holy cow expensive - if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it! (Often you can find actual fine quality antique tiles that are less expensive.)

Trimbelle River Stencils - Sells appropriate vintage Arts & Crafts stencil designs for the home. Fairly spendy, but good designs not offered elsewhere.

Van Dyke's Restorers - Specialize in unique home products that encompass the different eras of home design including Victorian, Arts and Crafts, Mid-Century, Traditional and Transitional.

Vintage Doors - Manufactures direct custom handcrafted doors. Each door from 100% furniture grade solid wood. Made to your exact size and preferences. They make a great screen door with built-in dog doors.

Vintage Tub - We found our excellent Elizabeth Classics shower fixture at this online merchant. The price was good and we were satisfied with their service.

Wells Tile & Antiques - Excellent resource for antique tiles. Great selection online. I've never ordered, though.

William Morris Throw Pillows - This site has a huge number of William Morris prints available in throw pillows, tote bags, shower curtains and duvet covers. I'm not sure about the quality, but the prices are good.

Yardley Forge - Blacksmith located in Portland. He made our pot rack and it was an excellent price for the quality.
