2 Curtain Panels Done, 12 to Go

Sharon finally finished embroidering the two curtain panels for the living room porch window!
Here it is again, close up.Jeff had a special challenge rehanging the old curtain hardware because the screw holes were all stripped out, so he had to first refill the holes before he could try again to hang the hardware. Thanks Jeff!

Sharon sewed up these curtains out of wide linen and then stenciled the design on. After it dried, Sharon worked on embroidering the design with a couple of simple stitches: satin stitches to fill the purple flower petals and outline stitch along the rest of the edges. It was a fairly simple project, but took about a month each since she pretty much only worked on them while we were watching TV.

Next up are the two narrow windows on either side of the fireplace.
