Ready to Rent

Everything has been cleaned and repaired and the Prineville house is ready to rent. There is a family moving in on Feb 1st.

We had to replace that awful Frankenstein counter. It was pretty expensive to remove the old one. If we had known we would end up renting this out, we probably would have paid a little better attention to the state of the kitchen. LOL

  1. Kitchen looks good for a rental. Good luck with your renters. There are good and bad and sometimes it is hard to tell the difference.

  2. Allow me to tell you the story of when Norm Abram (the This Old House carpenter) rented my friend's house. They thought it would be good. It was not. He did a LOT of damage. They were broken hearted.

    1. We considered that problem, but we figured we're already planning to replace so much in the house when we remodel that it's unlikely they'll have much financial impact on our plans.
