Bordered

Borders are finished and the quilt is ready to go to a machine quilter. The batik fabrics are really beautiful. I'm going to need to look around for a new machine quilter, so it will be a while.
Jeff would like me to make one of these for his birthday, so I'm going to have to shift gears for a while.

  1. Lovely job on the quilt... are you making the hat, too? Where is this from?

    1. Nope, I'm not going to make the hat. This isn't actually a costume, he wants to wear this in the rain. :)

    2. Are you making it out of wool? I bet it will be heavy if you are. Is this a pattern?

    3. I'm making it out of a lightweight felted wool. It's a pattern by Laughing Moon Mercantile.

  2. I say that because I once made the Kinsale Cloak (Folkwear Patterns). It weighed heavily on my shoulders.

    1. It will probably be heavy. I don't think he'll mind.
