The electricians have been steadily working for something like three weeks and they've almost finished rewiring the entire house and they've added a second box. The space left by the removed chimney proved to be a convenient location to run wires up to the attic and other floors from the basement.
The paint strippers have reached the dining room! Except for reinstalling new door trim work, the living room is done. The windows have been taken out and have gone in for paint stripping.
This time around we decided to try Timby's for paint stripping and they did a MUCH better job than Houck's. There was NO paint embedded in the crevices that we could see. Better pictures will follow soon. They were also less expensive.
