Sometimes Pets Suck

One of us forgot to latch Mia's birdcage . . .
Dang it.

  2. Oh no!! Poor birdie, she was probably having the time of her life gnawing on that table.

  3. Bad birdie!!! Then again, it wasn't MIA who forgot to lock her cage.... Sorry, I hope you can fix it. Not an expense you wanted to take on right now, I know. Hugs--K

  4. This is our fireplace mantle. And Mia did have a good time. And, no, it was not her fault, but still not a good day for us. I really don't want yet another project that has to be done by December. =(

  5. OMG! Mia clearly doesn't understand historic preservation. So sorry.

  6. Oh, nooooooo!!! I was thinking, "Who scratched what?" But, not scratched, but CHEWED! Aaagggh!!!

I think I know how I would fix that. What did you have in mind?

  7. You should see a certain portion of the trim in our bedroom. We brought our foster dog home knowing that he had severe separation anxiety and house-destructive tendencies, yet we thought we could leave him alone for a couple hours since, gosh, we'd spent the whole entire weekend at his side. He should be okay. Right?

  8. Yikes! I grew up with large birds, and have seen their destruction first hand...

What type of bird is she?

  9. Mia is a double yellow-headed amazon. She's obviously an industrious wood destroyer. She did all this in about 2 hours!

  10. Had a front door destroyed this way. I had a foster dog which was to stay in the basement while I was at work. My grandpa let the dog out while I wasn't home and it clawed/chewed the front door. It was beyond repair. Horrible day.
