Prineville Escrow Closed

We drove to Prineville on Monday to sign the papers and get the keys.

The house is pretty small, actually. Only about 1600 square feet. It has two and a half bedrooms (one is really tiny) and two bathrooms.

Other side of Living Room. I think this used to be a bedroom but they removed the wall and
merged it into the living room to make it an L-shape.

Interesting Stone Patchwork Counters
As usual, we plan to do a bit of remodeling. But, this time, we're hoping to do most of the interior work BEFORE we move in. I have a strict budget this time and I won't be obsessive about sticking to a historic style. We're just going to go with what we like. No doubt, heavily inspired by the craftsman style; I still love it.

  1. Looks like they bought a used counter so they had to get creative.

    1. I'm thinking they probably had access to stone scraps and just made it from the biggest pieces they could find. I'm just as happy they left the counter because I won't feel bad about ripping it out and replacing with soapstone.

  2. Congrats on your new nest. We moved from 1800 sqft to 1600, and with three of us, it has been a challenge. We did some purging and have made it work. It's so easy to keep clean! I hope you have many happy days there.
