In stark contrast to the ugly pictures outside, I have been given permission to share the photographs Alex Vertikoff took of our house back in July 2013. They turned out really beautiful!
I'm a little embarrassed about this one. I wasn't expecting him to include the sewing room in the background so I didn't have it totally cleaned up. The rainbow of threads is pretty though. LOL
What is the name of the green you used on the wall? I'm having a hard time finding one that isn't too blue, too yellow, or too dark. Plus, I can see that it works well with my favorite color....purple.
Are you sure that's Ruskin Room Green - SW 0042? On their site it looks more brownish. What's on your wall looks great -- on their site not so much. I guess I can buy a sample and try!
Yes, it is definitely Ruskin Room green, SW0042. We used it all over our house and it doesn't look as brown as at their website. I really like it, but it works well with our decor.
We used flat paint (or whatever they call it). It doesn't have any gloss to it. It is possible they've changed the formula since we put it on in 2011, but we've been very happy with it.
All of the colors in the house are from this palette: http://www.sherwin-williams.com/home-builders/color/find-and-explore-colors/color-collections/historic-palettes/interior-historic-colors/arts-and-crafts/
Those chairs were made by a company called Bentwood Furniture. They are located in Grants Pass. It looks like they've changed their name to Rogue Valley Furniture.
Sorry Susan, I just found your comment in my moderation section. I assume you've already had to pick a color, but it is Hubbard Squash in the Arts & Crafts line of colors: SW 044.
Stunning.

DeleteWow their site shows it as a dark taupe. I am going to buy a qt to try out. Did you use satin or eggshell?

ReplyDeleteThanks -- some great colors there. We have a 1911 A&C four square.
DeleteHas it really been that long since he took the photos? Wow. I wondered if I would ever get to see them. Cool.
ReplyDeleteI was a surprised he let me post them, but I'm glad he did. They turned out nice.
DeleteSo beautiful! Can I ask where you got your dining room chairs?
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! Just found this when searching for paint colors. Love the green! Can I ask where you got your dining room chairs?

DeleteWhat is the buff color you used in the dining room? I don't see anything like it in the arts & crafts palette.
ReplyDeleteCould you tell me the source of the buff color in the dining room? There is no color like that in the SW palette. Thanks!
