Aaron and Jeff made more progress on the backyard stair project today. They couldn't finish it because they need to buy gravel for it on Monday, when they're open again.
I took a few process photos for those of you interested.

Jeff braced the top step to the pergola |
|
They used u-posts to secure the steps in place |
|
They cut off the tops of the u-posts then they dumped in the last of our plaster rubble from the bath demo |
|
Jeff and Aaron used the tampers to break down and pack the rubble in well |
|
They also dumped in some cement rubble from our garage demo |
|
On Monday, they'll finish filling the stairs with gravel and sand |
I finally made progress on lacquering the master bathroom woodwork. I'll probably post pictures tomorrow.
I love how you have slightly curved the stair steps. Clever move with the plaster debris.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jan. Jeff designed the curve and it looks nice.
DeleteAre those concrete forms or are you filling with stone and leaving the wood in place?
ReplyDeleteWe are filling the forms with gravel and sand and leaving the wood in place. We like the way it looks.
DeleteI decided to equip the stairs with aluminum pads. It’s a great option for protecting your porch. site
